Frozen Star Jumps

So March 2013 is set to be one of the coldest in thirty years, and that forecast seemed spot on today over the peaks of the highest mountains in southern Britain. Steep climbs, freezing temperatures, and bands of heavy, driving snow. It was great!

After a long haul up to the summit, walking into the wind and snow, the cloud broke and the views were just awesome. In fact, I’m a little sad that on the Three Peaks Challenge we’ll miss the summit views of Scafell Pike due to the hour of the climb, but climbing Englands highest peak in the dark will present enough challenges in itself.

If for nothing else, sponsor me now, because when my wife sees this ridiculous picture of me doing star jumps on a snow-covered drop of 2,864 ft, she will kill me.
